The recipe for a successful vacation is a wealth of attractions, beautiful surroundings, and a family atmosphere that we will feel not only when we bring our children along but immediately upon arriving at our chosen destination. So, where is it worth going and what kind of accommodation should we choose? Special attention should be given to Willa Jawor, which combines a mountain climate with modern amenities. This place is located a short distance from the main hotel, which, in turn, offers a SPA area, swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzis, a playroom, a gaming corner, and access to trampolines. The resort is situated in Zawoja, known for being the longest village in Poland, the home of the Babia Góra National Park, and one of the main settlements of the Babia Góra Highlanders, so both the hotel and the surrounding area have a lot to offer us during the summer, even if we are not familiar with hiking mountain trails. Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn, and this is just the beginning of the attractions that will be at our disposal.

"

Easy Peaks for Everyone

Let's start with the mountains, as it is in the vicinity of the Babia Góra National Park that hiking trails have been established, which are considered some of the most beautiful among Polish peaks. A true gem is Babia Góra, commonly referred to as the ""Queen of the Beskids"" – no wonder, as it is characterized by the most beautiful views that we can encounter as soon as we enter the trail, not necessarily the most difficult one. Considering the presence of children, we recommend the route that stretches from the Krowiarki Pass – it is nice and pleasant for hikers of all ages. Of course, the mountains are known for sudden weather changes, so we remind you to bring necessary outerwear or consider finishing the walk on another day.

A Piece of History

So what to do when we have to leave the mountains or do not feel like going there? We recommend that parents and children interested in history visit the Babia Góra Museum, specifically the educational center located in the building of the Park Directorate in the Markowa estate. The facility will provide information to all interested about:

  • the nature of Babia Góra,
  • ecology,
  • local culture.

Additionally, the museum is equipped with multimedia equipment that allows visitors to listen to the sounds of the forest and animals, as well as admire mountain views in the highest quality images. Numerous permanent exhibitions are organized in the center, concerning the vegetation of Babia Góra and the animals inhabiting the surrounding area. While visiting the galleries and regional rooms, we recommend using the services of a guide, who will ensure that the topics are always tailored to the specific age group.

Speaking of history, this entry could not miss legends, which particularly stimulate children's imagination. One of them is the chapel of St. John the Baptist in Zawoja Policznem, which probably dates back to the late 17th or early 18th century. The chapel is also known as the bandit's chapel, as its founders were said to be bandits who built it as a penance for their sins. Moreover, the place is surrounded by historic linden trees, which are local natural monuments – it is worth visiting them just for that.

Waterfall

On the northern slope of Mosorny Groń, there is a waterfall, from which water falls from a vertical, several-meter drop, splashing against rocky outcrops, creating an incredibly charming view. It is very difficult to reach the point during the winter, so the waterfall must be visited in the summer. A hiking trail and then a well-marked and secured path will help us with this. In good weather conditions, the route is not difficult, but after rain, one should exercise particular caution, as the descent to the waterfall can be very slippery.

Hotel Attractions

We recommend that both parents and their children also take advantage of hotel attractions, which include, among others, a grill feast in the company of a highlander band, crackling fire, and the rustle of the forest. On rainy days, you can enjoy the pool, sauna, or gaming corner. We warmly recommend the Jawor hotel to all interested – all details regarding the summer offer can be found on the website hotel-jawor.pl.
